Skeletal Bone Survey

What is a skeletal bone survey?

A skeletal bone survey (also called a bone survey) is an x-ray of all of the bones of the body. In cancer patients, the purpose of a skeletal bone survey is to determine whether cancer has metastasized (spread) from the original site (such as the breast) to the bones.
