Galactorrhea in men is lactation (the production of milk) in the breast. Causes of galactorrhea in men include:
• Side effects of certain medications (including some anti-hypertensive drugs, some opiod drugs, and some drugs to treat mental conditions)
Abnormally low secretion of the hormone, thyroxin, by the thyroid gland
• Secretion of hormones by tumors of the pituitary gland
• Diseases of the hypothalamus gland
• Other conditions
