	Case Manager

What is a case manager?

A case manager is a healthcare professional (usually a nurse) who coordinates the care of a patient. For oncology (i.e., cancer) patients, a case manager (usually an oncology nurse) coordinates the care involved in the diagnosis, treatment, and recovery of a patient. Also, a case manager can assist a cancer patient and their family in getting answers to medical questions and obtaining resources.
